Open a Playlist and go to the Content tab. Click + Add Content to open the Add Content modal.
1. Choose a Content Type
Select a content type from the dropdown. See Content Types for details on each.
Some content types may not be available depending on your plan — see Plans and feature availability for details.
2. Enter the Content Details
URL
- Enter the web address you want to display. Two optional toggles are also available:
- Force iframe — Forces the content to load inside an embedded browser frame. Enable this if the URL isn't displaying correctly.
- Available offline — Pre-caches this item on displays for offline use. Best for images and videos. On by default.
Layout - Browse or search for a layout by name. If you haven't created any layouts yet, see Creating and Managing Layouts.
Asset - Browse or search your asset library by filename. Filter by images or videos using the tabs. If you haven't uploaded any assets yet, see Assets Overview.
Home Assistant - Enter the path to your Home Assistant dashboard. The path must start with / — for example: /lovelace or /lovelace/wallpanel. The Kiosk mode toggle hides the Home Assistant sidebar and header. If Home Assistant isn't connected yet, go to Settings › Integrations to set it up first.

3. Enter a Title (Optional)
A label for this item in the Playlist editor. Not shown on screen.
4. Set a Duration
How long this item plays before the Playlist moves to the next item. If left blank, it defaults to the Playlist default.
5. Set the Active Toggle
When toggled off, the item stays in the queue but is skipped during playback until you activate it.
6. Schedule (Optional)
Set a date range, specific days, or a time window for when this item plays. See Playlist Scheduling for details.
7. Click Add Item
The item is added to the bottom of your Playlist queue.
Managing Items
Each item row in the Playlist gives you the following controls:
- Drag handle — On the far left. Drag up or down to reorder items.
- Active toggle — Switch the item on or off without removing it.
- Pencil icon — Edit the item's details.
- Delete icon — Remove the item. A confirmation prompt appears before removal.
The item currently playing has a red bar on its left edge.
